This phase, carried out in steel and concrete vats, lasts for about 20/21 days at a temperature of between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius; At the same time, the skins are also macerated, which lasts for the same number of days, during which frequent daily reassembles are carried out. After dislocation, the wine is placed in steel vats or oak barrels, where it performs malolactic fermentation, at the end of which it is moved into oak barrels (French and Slavonia) from 5 to 20 Hl, in which it remains for 36 months; decanting are carried out every 6 months. After ripening and after 4/6 months of relax in steel vats, the wine is bottled for a further aging of 12 months before commercialization.

Visit to the winery with Damiano. Very well-kept environment and owner very helpful and thorough in his explanations. As soon as we entered we thought we were in a fairy-tale environment because it was so perfect and well-maintained. None of us expected such a pleasant surprise so much so that we were incredulous even after a few hours. A round of applause also to the very kind Mrs. Morena. Purchased red wine and vinsanto with a more than excellent quality-price ratio.

Amazing historic winery in the center of Montepulciano. We were welcomed for a free and free visit by really kind staff! The cellars are inebriating to the eyes, ancient and enormous barrels. At the end of the visit, if you wanted, you could do a tasting in order to purchase and it was worth it, the winemaker was able to give us great details and our purchases were appreciated. Thanks again

In a 16th century building, in Piazza Grande next to the cathedral, is this magical winery with a historic scent. I was definitely struck by the stone vat, characteristic of the company. I recommend this beautiful free visit with attached tasting also aimed at justifying the prices of a wine of great quality and historical value, as well as making you understand how much meticulous work is behind it. The young lady who offered us a tasting of Rosso and Nobile was competent. I also bought a bottle of Rosso and a very beautiful corkscrew as a souvenir. Congratulations!

We had the honor of meeting Mrs. Antonella, who told us the story of Contucci and made us taste various types of red Montepulciano. It was a positive experience that I recommend to all those who visit Montepulciano. Thank you for everything Mrs. Antonella!
